The Red Sox are expected to receive an outfielder and pitcher in exchange for the veteran right-hander.
Peter Gammons first reported that Boston will receive Joe Kelly and Allen Craig to complete the deal.
Twins Send Fuld To A's For Milone
The Minnesota Twins have acquired Tommy Milone from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Sam Fuld.
Milone, 27, asked for a trade earlier this month after being sent to Triple-A following the Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel deal with the Chicago Cubs.
Fuld started the season with Oakland, but was claimed off waivers by the Twins in April. The 32-year-old hit .274/.370/.354 in 53 games with the Twins.
Red Sox Deal Lester To A's For Cespedes
The Boston Red Sox have traded Jon Lester, Jonny Gomes and cash to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Yoenis Cespedes and the second pick in the competitive balance Compensation B round.
Lester will be a free agent after the season. Cespedes is owed $10.5 million in 2015, the final year of his deal.
Blue Jays Get Valencia From Royals
The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Danny Valencia from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for Liam Hendriks and Erik Kratz.
Valencia, 29, is a .265 career hitter in parts of five seasons with the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles and Royals.
He can play second base and also gives the Blue Jays an option at third while Brett Lawrie recuperates from a fractured right index finger.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired Darwin Barney and cash considerations from the Chicago Cubs for a player to be named later.
Barney, 28, was designated for assignment last Tuesday.
He was hitting .230 with two home runs and 16 RBIs in 72 games this season.
